1. Connecting my router
1.1. Plug in the router
Connect the included Black Ethernet cable to the Blue "Internet" port on right and the power plug to the power port on the left, Any computers or devices you wish to connect via Ethernet can be connected using any of the Yellow Ethernet ports on the back of the Router.
1.2. Plug in the Optical Network Terminal (ONT)
Connect the other end of the ethernet cable to the GE1 or LAN1 socket on the ONT (Fibre box on the wall) unless advied otherwise.
1.3. Make sure both the ONT and Router are on
Ensure both the ONT and ASUS Router are powered on, If not ensure the ONT is powered on first and allowed to fully start (Wait until you get Power and Optical/PON) lights before switching on the ASUS Router.
Ensure the lights on the top of the router match the picture below, If not switch off both the ONT and the ASUS Router for 5 minutes switch on the ONT first and allow it to fully start (Wait until you get Power and Optical/PON lights) before switching on the ASUS Router.
IMPORTANT: If the internet light (circled in red above) does not come on even after restarting both devices as shown above, please try plugging in the ethernet into each of the other GE or LAN ports on the ONT device following the same steps. If this doesn't work please raise a ticket or chat via our website with us to correct this issue.
Your router should now be connected to the internet!
2. Connecting to WiFi
2.1. Locate the default WiFi password
Your default WiFi password is on the bottom of your router as below, next to the PIN code
2.2. Connect your computer, phone or other device to the WiFi network
Following the relevent WiFi connection guide for your computer or device you should see 1 or 2 networks which will be similar to the examples below, Beginning with Stuff-Fibre and ending in 2G and/or 5G, These will be your WiFi networks and you can now try connecting using the PIN Code as the password.
Once you have selected a network and connected you should now be ready to browse the internet!
